We are interested in well-written commercial fiction with a strong hook and non-fiction with stand-out subject matter. We welcome voices that are not heard often enough.

We consider the following fiction genres: historical, crime/mystery/suspense and thrillers, horror, women's fiction from chick-lit sagas to contemporary and literary fiction. We are also looking to build a children's list concentrating on YA fiction.

We consider most non-fiction particularly: history, biography, current affairs, food, politics, conservation/environment, lifestyle, professional confessional, popular science, narrative non-fiction, self-help, how-to and true crime.

You can read more about each of our agents and what they are currently looking for here.

We ask authors to submit a brief Author Biography/Covering Letter, Synopsis and the first three sample chapters via our submission form (see below). After a screening process, selected authors will be asked to submit their full manuscript by email. Those that Coombs Moylett Maclean believe to show promise will be offered representation.

Please note that due to the large volume of work received for consideration, we are unable to respond to individual queries. If you have not heard from one of our agents after three months, you should assume we will not be taking the project forward.

We do not handle poetry, plays or scripts for film and TV. Please note that we cannot accept submissions by post or via email unless requested.
